-The Duquesne volleyball team wraps up its home portion of its schedule, when it hosts Davidson on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9 inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The Dukes will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday before the match.

- The Dukes continued its homestand last weekend by securing a pair of victories. Duquesne secured a 3-0 sweep over Rhode Island on Friday night before capturing its fourth straight victory with a 3-1 win over the Billikens.

- On Friday, sophomore Emersen Schrom was the lone Duke in double figures, finishing with 11 kills, seven digs, two aces, and an impressive .310 hitting percentage. Freshman Karli Jordan added nine kills, while seniors Ariel Helm and Carsyn Henschen each contributed six kills and three blocks.

- Junior Jordan Robertson led the team with four total blocks, including three solo, and classmate Chloe Wilmot dished out 29 assists, along with eight digs and two aces. Senior Madison Grimm recorded a season-high 21 assists, adding two digs to her stat line.

- Against Rhody on Saturday, a pair of Dukes finished with double-digit kills, led by sophomore Emersen Schrom. Schrom recorded her 11th double-double of the season, posting 25 kills and 11 digs with a .426 hitting percentage and a team-leading four service aces. It marked her sixth match with 20+ kills and the 20th time she's led the Dukes in kills this season.

- Senior Carsyn Henschen also reached double digits with 11 kills, adding three digs and hitting .400 on the night. This was her 12th match this season with double-digit kills and her fifth in the last seven matches. Henschen, who surpassed 1,000 career kills earlier this month, now has 1,047 career kills, ranking second on the team in both total kills and kills per set.

- Junior setter Chloe Wilmot added another milestone to her resume, surpassing 100 career service aces. She also tallied 37 assists, six digs, and a career-best six blocks, along with two aces. Just last week, Wilmot surpassed 2,500 career assists, moving into seventh place all-time with 2,620 helpers.

- Ariel Helm contributed nine kills and a team-high seven blocks while hitting .389, and Madison Grimm added 13 digs, six kills, and two service aces during the victory. As a team, Duquesne recorded 13 service aces, its second-highest total this season, with five players posting two or more aces.

Scouting The Wildcats – Davidson enters the weekend with a 10-14 overall record and a 5-9 mark in conference play. The Wildcats have dropped three straight matches, including a pair at Fordham, a 3-1 loss on Saturday followed by a five-set battle on Sunday. The Wildcats are led by Elena Garcia-Guerrios, who ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10 with 356.5 points and fourth with 4.10 points per set. She also averages 3.64 kills per frame, good for fourth in the conference, while her 317 total kills rank fifth. Defensively, Jordan Hummel anchors the back row, averaging 4.32 digs per set and totaling 389 on the season, both ranking second in the league. Davidson features a pair of setters in Xuan Nguyen and Kinsey Smith, who have each surpassed 600 assists this season. Nguyen leads narrowly with 658 (5.58 per set), followed closely by Smith with 657 (5.57 per set). At the net, Melanie Tilles provides a strong presence, recording 89 blocks on the year and averaging 0.75 per set.

Billikens Remains – Duquesne swept Saint Louis 3-0 on Friday, posting a season-high .310 hitting percentage in the third set. The Dukes dominated the third frame, recording four blocks and four service aces, jumping out to a 9-3 lead and extending it to 17-8 before back-to-back kills from Jordan sealed the match. Schrom led with three kills, while Henschen, Helm, and senior Hanna Wilson also contributed key points. On Saturday, after dropping the third set 25-20, Duquesne responded with 16 kills, five blocks, and a .500 hitting percentage to secure the win. The Dukes pulled ahead 11-8 behind kills from Jordan and Henschen and a block from Robertson and Newton, later opening a 21-13 lead with a 6-1 surge. Schrom sealed the match with a pair of decisive kills, keeping Duquesne's winning streak alive.

Senior Spotlight – The Dukes will celebrate Senior Day prior to Saturday's contest, honoring five student-athletes and one student manager for their dedication and contributions to the program. Duquesne will recognize student manager Kendall Sandrock along with student-athletes Hanna Wilson, Ariel Helm, Carsyn Henschen, Maggie Colenbrander, and Madison Grimm.

Three's A Charm - For the third time this season, sophomore outside hitter Emersen Schrom has been tabbed the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. The Pittsburgh native turned in a stellar weekend performance, helping the Dukes extend their winning streak to four straight matches. She averaged 6.14 points, 5.14 kills, and 2.57 digs per set, while hitting at an impressive .382 clip. Across the two-match stretch, Schrom totaled 36 kills, 18 digs, and six service aces. She continues her sensational sophomore campaign, ranking 13th nationally with 449.5 total points and 18th in NCAA Division I with 389 kills this season. The Pittsburgh native is averaging 4.83 points per set, good for 30th in the country, while her 4.18 kills per frame rank 38th. Schrom also becomes the first Duke since Arielle Love in 2014 to earn the award three times in a single season.

An Ace Up The Sleeve – Junior setter Chloe Wilmot continues to build an impressive resume, and last weekend was no exception. With the Dukes leading 11-7 in the first set against the Billikens on Saturday, Wilmot recorded her 100th career service ace. She finished the match with 37 assists, six digs, a career-best six blocks, and two aces. Wilmot now has 101 career aces, just four shy of cracking the program's top 10. The Virginia native ranks fifth in the country with 973 career assists and is on track to surpass 1,000 assists for a season for the second time in her career. Her 10.46 assists per set place her 14th nationally, and she became the eighth player in program history to surpass 2,500 career helpers. Wilmot currently sits seventh in program history with 2,620 helpers, trailing Hailey Poling (2,796) for sixth all-time.

Did You Know? – When the Dukes capture the opening set, they own an impressive 13-1 record this season and stand 13-3 when leading the match in kills. Duquesne has posted a higher hitting percentage than its opponent in 14 matches, going 13-1 in those contests. Following this past weekend's action, the Dukes also improved to 12-1 on the year when holding opponents to a .200 hitting percentage or lower.

Finding A Rhythm – Duquesne has flipped the script in October, heating up at just the right time. After opening the month with four straight losses, the Dukes have won six of their last seven matches. During that stretch, Duquesne is averaging 14.0 kills, 16.5 digs, and just under 13.0 assists per set, while totaling 51 service aces (2.13 per set). The Dukes have also been dominant at the net, recording 57 blocks and averaging 2.38 per frame. Emersen Schrom and Carsyn Henschen have led the offense with 4.04 and 3.38 kills per set, respectively. Schrom and Chloe Wilmot have paced the service line with 15 and 10 aces, while Ariel Helm and Jordan Robertson have anchored the net, averaging 1.33 and 1.07 blocks per set. In the back row, Madison Grimm (3.54 digs/set) and Wilmot (3.21) continue to provide steady defense.
