Pittsburgh, Pa. – Freshman
Taylor Miller of the Duquesne University bowling team earned her second consecutive Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week honor Wednesday. Miller, a native of Lititz, Pa., earns the accolade for her performance at Destination Orlando.
During traditional play at Destination Orlando, which was competed from Friday, Oct. 24, to Sunday, Oct. 26, Miller led the Dukes by finishing 19th individually. Over the course of five games, Miller knocked down 980 pins, an average score of 196. She rolled a 218 against No. 18 UAB before posting her best score of the afternoon with a 220 in a 952-938 victory over No. 11 Sacred Heart.
Miller finished with an 87.2 fill percentage and a 19.81 average frame in Baker play at Destination Orlando, firing 37 strikes in 86 attempts. She was also 25-for-50 in strike attempts in traditional play at AMF Sky Lanes in Orlando, Fla., while posting a 19.60 frame average and an 82 percent fill percentage.

the NEC Rookie of the Week (10/22) after her NCAA Division I debut at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic, Miller ranks second for the Dukes through two competitions this year in strikes with 115, trailing only junior
Maribeth Baker (122). Miller leads Duquesne in average frame (19.29) and also has compiled an average first ball of 8.88 to go along with an 83.2 fill percentage as well as a 71.1 spare conversion percentage.
In addition to being named NEC Rookie of the Week, Miller was also named an NEC Prime Performer along with senior
Emma Siekierski. At Destination Orlando, Siekierski averaged 19.31 per frame in traditional play with an 81.3 fill percentage as well as a 19.08 frame average in Baker play with a fill percentage of 84 percent.

Jody Fetterhoff, the Dukes are gearing up for the first of two NEC competitions, as the site of NEC #1 is Mount Joy, Pa., at Clearview Lanes. Duquesne has compiled an overall record of 13-12 (.520) during the 2025-26 season and in nine years of NEC action has amassed a record of 112-68 (.622).
