Washington, D.C. – For the third time this season, sophomore outside hitter Emersen Schrom has been tabbed the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.

The hometown standout turned in a stellar weekend performance, helping the Dukes extend their winning streak to four straight matches. She averaged 6.14 points, 5.14 kills, and 2.57 digs per set, while hitting at an impressive .382 clip. Across the two-match stretch, Schrom totaled 36 kills, 18 digs, and six service aces.

In the opener, she posted 11 kills, seven digs, two aces, and a .310 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Saint Louis. The sophomore followed with her 11th double-double of the season, recording 25 kills and 11 digs while hitting .426 in a 3-1 victory over the Billikens. She also added four service aces and a block in the win. It marked her sixth match this season with 20 or more kills and the 20th time she has led the Dukes in that category. With 389 kills on the year, Schrom now ranks sixth in program history for single-season kills.

Schrom continues her sensational sophomore campaign, ranking 13th nationally with 449.5 total points and 18th in NCAA Division I with 389 kills this season. The Pittsburgh native is averaging 4.83 points per set, good for 30th in the country, while her 4.18 kills per frame rank 38th. Schrom also becomes the first Duke since Arielle Love in 2014 to earn the award three times in a single season.
