Scouting The Revolutionaries – George Washington enters the weekend in a four-way tie for second place in the A-10 standing, holding a 17-11 overall record and a 10-6 mark in league play. The Revolutionaries are riding a three-match winning streak, highlighted by a pair of road victories at Saint Louis, a dominant 3-0 sweep on Friday night followed by a thrilling five-set win on Saturday. The upcoming matchup continues a rivalry that dates back to 1986, marking the 65th and 66th meetings between George Washington and Duquesne. The Revolutionaries lead the all-time series 42-22, though the Dukes have claimed two of the last three contests. Statistically, George Washington boasts one of the most potent offenses in the conference, totaling 1,422 kills this season, the highest in the league and ninth nationally. Leading the charge is Salem Yohannes, who averages 3.04 kills per set and has tallied 346 on the year. Abby Markworth drives the attack with 944 assists, ranking second in the conference in both total assists and assists per set (8.82). Defensively, Lydia Zeng anchors the back row with 297 digs, while Cianna Tejada stands tall at the net with 117 blocks on the season.

Davidson Remains – On Friday, momentum stayed with Duquesne in set four as it jumped out to an 11-3 lead. Schrom powered the run with four kills, while Helm added two. Davidson answered with a 9-3 burst to trim the gap to 14-12, but out of a timeout, Henschen steadied the Dukes with a kill and led a 6-3 push to make it 21-15. The Wildcats pulled within 23-20 before a Griffin kill and Schrom swing sealed the 25-21 win. On Saturday, Duquesne dominated the final set, hitting .407 while limiting Davidson to just 10 kills. Up 13-5 early, the Dukes used six kills, two aces, and a block to take control. Schrom led with three kills, an ace, and a block alongside Helm, while Coleanbrander added a service ace. A 6-3 run pushed the lead to 19-8, highlighted by an ace from Wilson and kills from Robertson, Henschen, and Schrom. Davidson closed within 23-15, but Schrom and Henschen finished it off for Duquesne's sixth straight victory.

Displaying Dominance - Sophomore outside hitter Emersen Schrom was selected as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, announced by the league office Monday. The Pittsburgh native powered the Dukes to their sixth consecutive win, averaging 6.13 points, 5.63 kills, and 2.38 digs per set while hitting .372, amassing 45 kills and 19 digs over the weekend's two matches. Schrom continues to lead Duquesne on offense, topping the Atlantic 10 in six different categories. She ranks 11th nationally with 434 kills this season, the third-highest single-season total in program history. Schrom has also accumulated 498.5 points, placing her 10th in NCAA Division I, while her 4.94 points per set ranks 25th. The outside hitter is averaging 4.30 kills per set, good for 32nd in the nation. The Hampton native has recorded double-digit kills in 23 matches and has led the Dukes in kills on 22 occasions this season. The sophomore becomes the first player in program history to earn the honor four times in a single season.

New Heights At The Net – Senior middle blocker Ariel Helm continues to etch her name into the Duquesne record books, and this past weekend was no exception. The Indiana native became the Dukes' all-time leader in block assists, surpassing Diana Wuebker (2002-05), who held the record for 20 years with 339. Helm now sits at 343 block assists for her career and has totaled 106 blocks this season. The senior standout is also on the brink of another milestone, needing just one more block to tie Wuebker's career record of 427 total blocks. Helm has put together a prolific senior campaign, surpassing the 100-block mark for the second consecutive season while leading the Dukes in blocks 14 times. She has posted five or more blocks in 10 matches this year, including three of the last four outings. Over her career, Helm has also recorded 83 solo rejections, ranking seventh in program history.

Serving Up Success – Junior setter Chloe Wilmot has been the driving force behind the Duquesne offense all season, and she added another milestone to her impressive resume this past weekend. In Sunday's matchup against the Wildcats, Wilmot surpassed 1,000 assists in a single season for the second time in her career. She currently ranks third in the nation with 1,073 total assists and sits 12th nationally with an average of 10.62 per set. Wilmot has recorded 11 matches with 40 or more assists, including back-to-back 50-assist performances. Earlier this season, she became just the eighth player in program history to eclipse 2,500 career assists and now ranks seventh all-time with 2,720 helpers. A versatile contributor, the Virginia native has also made her mark from the service line, ranking third on the team with 34 aces this season. Her 104 career aces leave her just one shy of breaking into Duquesne's top 10 all-time list.

Postseason Bound – With a pair of wins over Davidson last weekend, Duquesne clinched a spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament for the first time since 2021. It marks the program's 14th tournament appearance overall and the 12th under head coach Steve Opperman. The Dukes enter the final weekend of the regular season as the sixth seed, carrying a 17-10 overall record and a 9-7 mark in conference play. Their 17 victories are the most since the 2013 campaign, while the nine conference wins match the program's highest total since 2014.
