Buffalo, NY – The Duquesne University men's tennis team traveled to Buffalo, New York on Friday afternoon, dropping a 7-0 decision to the Bulls in non-conference action at the UB Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Dukes fall to 0-3 overall this season.

In doubles competition, Buffalo captured the early point after taking two of the three matches. At the top spot, freshmen Arnau Anton Garcia and Uvan Patel fell 6-0 to Yu-Shiang Huang and Michael Malkin before juniors Keita Duclos and Chris Cianciotti dropped a 6-3 match to Cheng Tang and Daniils Snaiders.

The Bulls kept the momentum in singles play, taking all six matches. Duclos fell to Theodoros Mitsakos 6-2, 6-4 at the first slot while Anton Garcia fell to Cheng Tang 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 at the second position. At third singles freshman Aril Kayra Tuna dropped a close 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 match to Clement Mainguy before classmate Enrique Lana was delt a 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 loss to Emiliano Jorquera at the fourth spot. In the final two singles matches Patel was defeated by Yu-Shiang Huang 6-2, 6-1 while Buffalo's Faiz Nasyam won by retirement over Teo Papadopoulos.

Duquesne returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 2, when it hosts Ashland for a non-conference match at its new home court at the Oxford Athletic Club, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
