- The Duquesne University women's golf team makes its debut as an NCAA Division I program by taking part in the Bucknell Fall Invitational Friday, Sept. 6, through Sunday, Sept. 8, at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.

- Women's golf was added in April of 2022 along with triathlon and acrobatics & tumbling, bringing the total number of sports sponsored by Duquesne to 20. Triathlon made its debut during the 2023-24 season, with women's golf and acro & tumbling beginning competition this season.

- Tabbed as the first head coach in program history is Colleen Meyers, who was selected to lead Duquesne in August of 2023. She spent two seasons as an assistant coach with Carnegie Mellon from 2021 to 2023 and also was the head coach at Oakland Catholic High School from 2015 to 2023.

- Sewickley Heights Golf Club serves as the home of Duquesne golf, it was announced in February. Founded in 1961, the course is used for practice for the program and has also hosted the United States Women's Amateur in 1966 and the Champion's Pittsburgh Senior Classic in 1998.

- Meyers signed a pair of student-athletes in November of 2023 in Sasha Petrochko and Lindsey Powanda, then added four more in the spring of 2024 with Katie Caryl, Katie Fodale, Paige Meyers and Abby Slankster to round out the roster. Each of the six will make their NCAA Division I debut at the Bucknell Fall Invitational.

- The field for the 2024 Bucknell Fall Invite includes 14 teams. As well as the Dukes, Albany, Bryant, the host Bison, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Le Moyne, LIU, Penn, Saint Francis U, Saint Joseph's, Towson and Wagner make up the field. Bucknell has won the event six times (2006, 2010, 2011, 2016, 2021 and 2022).

- Of the six student-athletes that make up the roster for Duquesne in 2024-25, five are rookies and one is a junior. Lindsey Powanda is a transfer from Pitt, where she did not compete in golf, and will have three years of eligibility. She claimed the 2020 Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) crown and also notched a pair of top 10 finishes at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) championships.

- The Bucknell Fall Invitational is the first of four events the Dukes will compete in this fall. Duquesne will also take part in the Roseann Schwartz Invitational (Sept. 22-23), which is hosted by Youngstown State, the Red Flash Invitational (Oct. 7-8) and the UNCG Collegiate (Oct. 21-22).
