Miamisburg, Ohio – The Dukes finished its three-match road trip on Saturday, falling to St. Bonaventure, 4-3 at the South Regency Tennis Center in league action. With the slip, the Duquesne University men's tennis team falls to 7-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
During doubles competition, the Dukes registered the early point by securing wins at the number one and two spots. Seniors
Kaipo Marshall and
Tamirlan Teberikov secured a 6-3 victory over Archie Graham and Hugo Cochlin while sophomores
Alfrendo Vogelaar and
Keita Duclos tallied a 6-3 win over Jean Marrero and Anargha Ganguly. At the final slot, senior
Bode Vance and sophomore
Pierce Manning's match was recorded unfinished.
In singles competition, the Bonnies took control, taking four of the six matches to secure the match. At the number one spot, Marshall registered a 6-1, 1-6, 7-6 (5) over Graham before Teberikov fell to Ganguly 6-3, 7-6 (4). At the third singles, Duclos secured a 7-6 (4), 6-3 win over Cochlin as Vogelaar dropped a 4-6, 6-2, 2-6 match to Egehus. At the final two singles spots, Dassanayake was downed by Turner 6-3, 7-5 before Vance fell to Marrero 7-6 (3), 6-2.

The Dukes are idle for a week before they travel to Orlando, Florida to compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships at USTA National Campus from Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28.
