Davidson, N.C.- The Duquesne University men's tennis team began a three-match road swing, falling to Queens, 4-3 on Saturday at the Davison Tennis Courts in Davidson, N.C. With the lip, the Dukes fall to 5-3 overall this spring.

In doubles play, Duquesne registered the point after capturing wins at the first and third slot. Seniors Tamirlan Teberikov and Kaipo Marshall captured a 7-6 (7-2) victory over Win Steveker and Ram Mude in the first slot before sophomores Keita Duclos and Alfrendo Vogelaar downed Laurenz Blickwede and Flippo Verdese, 7-5 at the third position to secure the point.

In singles competition, Queens won four of six matches to take the match. Marshall grabbed a 6-5, 7-5 victory over Blickwede in the fist slot before Teberikov was downed, 1-6, 6-7 to Steveker in position two. At third singles, Duclos registered a 6-4, 6-7, 10-6 victory over Luethi before Vogelaar dropped a 1-6, 4-6 decision to Enslin at the four spot. Vane lost to Mude, 1-6, 1-6 and sophomore Chris Cianciotti fell by a 0-6, 0-6 count to Verdese in the fifth and sixth slots.

Duquesne returns to action on Sunday, march 3, when it battles Richmond for a conference match at the Davidson Tennis Courts.
