Youngstown, Ohio – The Duquesne University women's tennis team traveled to Youngstown, Ohio on Friday evening, falling 6-1 in non-conference action at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center. With the loss, the Dukes fall to 3-9 overall this season.

Kaya Rand captured a 6-4 victory over Eliska Masarikova and Maria Oliveira in the first slot. At the second doubles, sophomore
Jasa Roka and freshman
Mila Badics fell by a 7-6 (7-2) to Julia Marko and Lorena Cedeno before sophomore
Taisia Yakunina and senior
Ellen Shanahan were downed by Elinor Beazley and Line Greyline, 6-3 in the final spot.
Youngstown State dominated the singles play, securing five of the six matches to take the win. Latoni fell by a Masarikova 6-3, 6-4 in the first slot before Badics dropped a 6-3, 2-6, 2-6 match to Marko. At third singles, Rand was downed by Cedeno 6-4, 6-4 before Roka captured a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) at the four spot. Shanahan fell by a 6-1, 6-2 count to Minich while Yakunina lost 4-6, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7) in the final two singles.
