- The Duquesne University volleyball team concludes its three-match road swing on Tuesday, when it travels to Dayton, Ohio to battle #20 Flyers inside the Frericks Center during conference action.
- The Dukes are coming off its series at Davidson over the weekend, where they dropped a pair of matches. Duquesne fell in five sets on Friday (3-2) before the Wildcats collected a 3-1 win on Saturday night.
- On Friday night, the Dukes featured five players with double digit kills for the first time this season.
Elizabeth Drelling led the way with 17 kills on a .424 hitting percentage to go along with six digs and two total blocks.

Ariel Helm and
Carsyn Henschen each tallied 11 successful swings while Helm collected eight rejections and a .429 swing percentage while Henschen totaled four blocks.
Emersen Schrom registered and
Avery Hobson both registered 10 kills while Hobson recorded her third double-double with 10 digs. The five Dukes accounted for 59 of Duquesne's 62 kills on the night.
- Sophomore
Chloe Wilmot led the way with 28 assists and eight digs while
Grace Kristofic tallied 26 helpers and six digs. Junior
Madison Grimm carded a season-high and a team-leading 22 digs while posting two assists and one ace. The 62 kills are tied for the most in a match this season while the 14 total blocks are tied for the second best.
- During Saturday's match, the Dukes recorded three players with double figure kills, led by
Ariel Helm. She finished with a team-leading 12 kills on a .391 hitting percentage to go along with three total blocks.
Emersen Schrom ended with 11 kills and a .360 swing percentage while
Elizabeth Drelling tallied 10 kills and five digs. The trio combined for 33 kills while collecting five total blocks on the night.

Avery Hobson finished the night with a team-best 18 digs to go along with eight kills and a pair of aces.
Chloe Wilmot controlled the offense with 25 assists while totaling six digs and four service aces as graduate student
Grace Kristofic registered 18 assists and six digs. Junior
Madison Grimm finished with 12 digs while junior
Carsyn Henschen finished with five kills.
- Duquesne returns home to begin a four-match homestand, when it welcomes Loyola Chicago on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 while celebrating Kids Day during Saturday's match.
Scouting The Flyers - Dayton has been ranked in every American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll of the 2024 season, coming in at No. 20 in the most recent rankings, heading into Tuesday. The Flyers have been ranked in the AVCA Weekly Poll for 21 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2023 season. Dayton is led by Lexie Almodovar, who currently sits eighth in the country with 4.73 kills per set while tallying 5.36 points per stanza, which sits 10 in the NCAA. Almodovar's 391.0 total points sit 21
st in the country while her 345 total kills sit 19
th. The Flyers come into Tuesday on a 14-match winning streak, including six consecutive 3-0 sweeps. The last set the Flyers lost in conference play was to the Dukes on October 8.
Streaky – A handful of Dukes continue to be consistent and stuff the stat sheet for Duquesne. Sophomore
Chloe Wilmot has registered 23 straight matches with double figure assists, averaging 5.78 per set which sits sixth in the conference. Her 572 total helpers rank third in the league alone. Graduate student
Grace Kristofic has posted nine consecutive matches with 10+ helpers, averaging 4.36 assists per contest. Classmate
Elizabeth Drelling has been dominant on the offensive for the Dukes, recording double figure kills in eight of the last nine contests. Her 291 successful swings rank fourth in the Atlantic 10 while her 2.94 kills per stanza sits seventh. Junior
Madison Grimm has been stout on the defensive this season, totaling 10 consecutive matches with double digit digs. Grimm currently sits seventh in the league in total digs (261) while ranking eighth in digs per set (3.07). Sophomore
Avery Hobson has bolstered six matches in a row with at least one service ace while also registering nine straight matches with 10+ digs.
50th Anniversary – This season, the Dukes are celebrating 50 years of the program as it began in the fall of 1974. For the first 12 years, Duquesne played as a club team before elevating the program to the Division I level in 1986. The first coach to lead the then-Duchesses' was Duquesne alum Rob Cisney who coached the first three years of the Dukes being a Division I program. Duquesne has put together an all-time record of 702-704 (.499), a Division I record of 517-595 (.465), and an Atlantic 10 record of 210-316 (.400). The Dukes won its first-ever Division I contest at Robert Morris on September 10, 1986, with a 3-0 sweep. Duquesne won its first-ever conference contest against Rutgers, when they defeated the Scarlet Knights in straight sets. The Dukes made its first ever appearance in the Atlantic 10 Tournament in 1991, under Jeff Yurko before winning its first A-10 Tournament contest in 1993, with a 3-1 decision over West Virginia.
