PITTSBURGH -
Austin Rotroff, who played in 98 games for the Dukes from 2018-19 through 2022-23, has signed to play professionally for BBC Sparta Bartreng which competes in the Total League - the highest level of basketball in Luxembourg.
Rotroff, who finished his career with 333 points, 291 rebounds and 49 blocks, battled back from injury to have his top season as a graduate student in 2022-23.
One of three players to see action in all 33 games, Rotroff came off the bench to lead the team with a 4.8 rebounds per game average in '23. He led the Dukes in single-game rebounding a team-high 10 times and also paced the team with 26 dunks.
Nearly half of Rotroff's points (165), rebounds (160) and blocks (25) came last season.
Rotroff, who completed his undergraduate degree in sports marketing in December of 2021 and added his master's in business administration in 2023, will be the 11th Duquesne player coached by
Keith Dambrot to play professionally overseas.
