BRONX, NY -
Joe Reece scored a team-high 16 for Duquesne (20-11, 10-8) in an 87-60 defeat at Fordham (24-7, 12-6) on Saturday afternoon before a sellout Senior Day crowd at the Rams' Rose Hill Gym.
David Dixon added 11 points for the Dukes who shot 33 percent from the field, including 3-of-22 from the 3-point arc.
The win was the 18th in 20 home games for Fordham.
Duquesne was in control early and led 30-29 when R.J. Gunn was called for a foul and then was assessed a technical foul after getting tangled up with the Rams' Darius Quisenberry.
Quisenberry, who scored 21, hit all four free throws and Khalid Moore, who finished with a game-high 24, converted a three-point play on the ensuing possession, giving the Rams seven points and a 36-30 lead before Duquesne got the ball back.
The possession started a half-ending 16-2 run for the Rams, who led 45-32 at intermission.
Duquesne cut it to 11 early in the second half, before the Rams sandwiched a pair of Quisenberry 3-pointers around a Rostik Novitskyi dunk to take a 59-39 lead with just under 13 minutes left.
Fordham upped the advantage to 73-47 with just over 10 minutes to go.
The Dukes went 0-of-11 from the arc in the second half.
