Joe Reece scored a career-high 26 points and
Tre Williams added 14 as Duquesne (19-9, 9-6) notched win number 19 by a 91-74 score at La Salle (13-15, 7-8) on Wednesday night.
The victory was the Dukes' first over the Explorers in Philadelphia since Jan. 19, 2011, snapping a six-game streak.
Reece and Williams combined for 29 points in helping the Dukes outscore the Explorers 50-36 in the second half.

Austin Rotroff finished with 10 points each for the Dukes, who shot 56 percent and outscored the Explorers 52-22 in the paint.
Duquesne jumped out to a 12-2 lead as the Explorers struggled from the field, opening 1-of-7.
DU extended its lead to 20-9 before Josh Nickleberry, who finished with 28 points, gave La Salle a boost off the bench from deep. Nickleberry hit four first-half 3-pointers, the third of which gave the Explorers their first lead at 28-26.
Grant, who had 10 in the half, answered with a 3-pointer of his own to put the Dukes back in front 30-28.
Gunn Jr.'s 3-pointer at the first half horn gave Duquesne a 41-38 lead, as DU would never trail the rest of the way.
The Dukes outscored the Explorers 10-4 out of the half - with six coming from Reece - to take a 51-42 lead, before Nickleberry hit back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 51-48.
Duquesne put together an 11-1 run to take a 62-49 lead on a Gunn Jr. 3-pointer with 11:12 left.
The Dukes lead reached 20, at 91-71, with under 30 seconds left.
Duquesne returns home to face Davidson in the annual Chuck Cooper Classic on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m. The game, which will be televised nationally by the USA Network, will be preceded by a Senior Day ceremony recognizing DU's final year players and support staff.
NOTES
- DU's last win at Tom Gola Arena was on Jan. 19, 2011 by an 88-71 score under head coach Ron Everhart. La Salle won the next six.
- Reece's previous career high was 20 which he reached twice while at Bowling Green. Reece finished 11-of-13 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line.
- This was Austin Rotroff's third double-digit game of the season and first since a 12-point outing vs. Alabama State on Nov. 23.
- Tre Williams' six assists were two more than his previous career high.
- Kareem Rozier finished with five points and six assists in 17 turnover-free minutes.
- Duquesne's largest lead was 20, at 91-71, with :16 left ... La Salle's largest lead was two, at 28-26, with 4:13 left ... there were three ties and two lead changes in the game ... Duquesne took the lead for good on R.J. Gunn Jr.'s 3-pointer at the first half horn (41-38) ... La Salle led for :32 ... Duquesne led for 36:43.
