PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University men's tennis team won its first match of the spring on Friday night, defeating Carnegie Mellon, 7-0. Duquesne moves to 1-3 with the victory. 
Duquesne was all business tonight, coming out and dominating the courts. 
The Dukes won two out of the three doubles matches to start off the night. Graduate student 
David Georgadze and junior 
Tamirlan Teberikov won as the No. 1 pair, 6-4. Redshirt sophomore 
Liam Wickwire and freshman 
Keita Duclos won out of the No. 3 spot, 6-4.
In singles, the Dukes swept all six matches. Junior 
Kaipo Marshall returned as Duquesne's No. 1 and won his match, 6-2, 6-4. Georgadze followed him with a quick 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Teberikov won in the No. 3 spot, 6-4, 7-5, then senior 
Jin Dassanayake beat his opponent, 6-2, 6-1. Freshman 
Valentin Vasquez and junior 
Bode Vance wrapped up the night with wins of their own, resulting in a 7-0 win by the Dukes.
The Dukes will be back on the court tomorrow at 1:00 P.M. for a men's and women's doubleheader against Colgate at home.
