Head Coach Keith Dambrot (Seventh Year at Duquesne | 26th Year Overall) – Keith Dambrot, who built Akron into one of the most successful - and most respected - programs in the Mid-American Conference over 13 seasons, was named head men's basketball coach at Duquesne University on March 28, 2017. The veteran coach wasted no time making an impact on the DU program with 65 wins in his first four seasons. His 94 wins already rank fifth on the Dukes' all-time victory list and his two 20-win seasons - in just six years - are tied for the third-most in program history. Dambrot reached a significant career milestone on Feb. 8, 2023 when he posted his 500th career victory with a 75-52 triumph over George Mason.

Stony Brook Leftovers – The opening game of the Cornhusker Classic marked the first meeting between the two programs ... The contest featured two ties and five lead changes ... Duquesne used a 10-0 run in the first half to turn an 11-9 deficit into a 19-11 lead and never trailed again ... Foo Fighters – Playing the role of sixth man to perfection in the opening three games of the 2023-24 season has been graduate student
Fousseyni Drame. In an 85-63 win over Stony Brook, Drame recorded the first double-double of his Duquesne career with 15 points and 11 rebounds. More impressively, Drame converted six of his seven attempts from the field and in the early going has shot a white-hot 86.7 percent (13-for-15) from the floor through the first three games of the year. He also leads the Dukes in rebounding with an average of 8.3 per contest. Drame owns eight career double-doubles in his NCAA Division I career thanks to his performance against the Seawolves, tied for most on Duquesne's 2023-24 roster with forward
Andrei Savrasov.

Home Cooking – Senior guard
Dae Dae Grant contributed 19 points in an 85-63 triumph over Stony Brook to open the Cornhusker Classic as one of four Dukes to score in double figures. During his two seasons at Duquesne, Grant has reached double figures in scoring in each of his 22 games at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. During that stretch, Grant is averaging 17.0 points per game while having connected for 64 three-pointers, an average of 2.91 per contest. Grant enters Wednesday's tilt against Princeton ranked third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 20.7 points per game and sits fourth in three-point field goals made per game (3.3).
