Duquesne would clear the first corner that GW got for the game in the 50th minute by Karley Steinher andĀ Margey Brown won a footrace with a GW defender and finessed a shot under the keeper into the lower left corner of the goal for her first goal of the season.Ā

Matesa continued her dominant night of offense by drawing a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. She would place the shot bottom right corner of the goal for her fifth goal of the season. Ā

Anna Campanella, a graduate transfer that spent time at Kent State and the past three seasons at Boise State, earned a season-opening start at Ohio, alongside freshman Jayden Sharpless, a transfer from Georgia State, are a pair of newcomers that have started every game so far this season.Ā Ā

The Dukes roster includes three sets of sisters this season. Kayla and her twin sister Skylar Leseck are freshman from Moon Township, Pa., Anna (freshman) and Emma Bundy (junior) from Wexford, Pa., and Anna (graduate student) and Ally Campanella (junior) from Hudson, Ohio.Ā

Alvine owns the most wins in program history with an 81-95-29 overall record on the Bluff and a 42-51-17 mark in Atlantic 10 play.Ā

Alvine doubled the Dukes win total from 2011 in his first season. He has led DU to five A-10 Tournament appearances. In 2015, he coached the Dukes to their first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament appearanceĀ
