The game was tied at zero at the end of the first half, as the Dukes stifled Saint Louis' offense with strong defending from their back line. Senior defender
Ashley Rodriguez was smothering Saint Louis attackers all match, while senior defender
Kayla Winicki and freshman defender
Eva LaVecchia cleared out the middle.
Unfortunately for the Dukes, Saint Louis would break through with a goal in the 54

From there, Duquesne put on as much pressure as it could, but it was never able to find the back of the net. Freshman midfielder
Mackenzie Muir had a terrific chance in the 69
th-minute but her shot missed just high and wide.
Saint Louis played conservative in the final minutes to hold on to the win.
