PHILADELPHIA - The Duquesne men's tennis team was knocked off 5-2 at Saint Joseph's in an Atlantic 10 match Friday afternoon.
The Dukes (7-8, 1-2 A-10) dropped the doubles point and were limited to a pair of victories in singles play on the day.Â
Alex Mascioli and
Liam Wickwire managed to score a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
Mascioli battled for a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) win at No. 2 singles over Nickolas Frisk, while
Tamirlan Teberikov notched a straight-set 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles over Eshan Kanetkar.
St. Joe's took the other singles match ups in straight sets to earn the team victory.
The Dukes will return to the court tomorrow, Saturday, April 9 when they take on Villanova. The team was initially scheduled to play at Millersville, but that match was canceled and replaced with the bout at Villanova.
