Dukes up win streak to three

Post 2-1 non-conference win at Howard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Duquesne (3-1) got goals from Ryan Landry (4') and Maxi Hopfer (53') to extend its win streak to three with a 2-1 victory over Howard (0-1-2) on Sunday afternoon in Washington, D.C.

The goal was the second in the past three games for Landry, who upped his career goal total to four, and team-high third of the season for Hopfer, who was coming off a two-goal outing vs. Saint Francis U.

DU, which has defeated Robert Morris (3-2 in 2OT), Saint Francis U (4-3 in OT) and Howard (2-1) in succession, has scored nine goals in its past three games. The nine goals are the most in a three-game span since 2014.

Jaime Borjas posted his first career assist on the Hopfer goal.

The Dukes return to action next Sunday for the second of back-to-back road games at #21 Kentucky (7:30 pm on ESPN+).
