LOUISVILLE, KY. -
Tavian Dunn-Martin scored 21 points - including four 3-pointers - as one of four Dukes in double figures in leading Duquesne to an 81-68 wire-to-wire win over Southern Conference preseason favorite UNC Greensboro at the Wade Houston Tipoff Classic at Louisville's KFC Yum! Center.
Marcus Weathers added 18 points,
Michael Hughes had a 14-10 double-double and
Sincere Carry finished with 15 points and a game-high five assists for the Dukes who bounced back from a season-opening loss to Little Rock on Monday.
Dunn-Martin, who topped 20 points for the eighth time in his career, added a career high-tying four steals.
Duquesne jumped out to a 26-15 lead, behind eight points from Dunn-Martin, before UNCG answered with an 11-0 run to tie it at the 5:12 mark.
Hughes ended the run with a bucket and Weathers followed with a dunk and pair of free throws as DU outscored the Spartans 16-7 the rest of the way to take a 42-33 halftime lead.
Dunn-Martin's fourth 3-pointer was followed by a Weathers dunk and Carry layup to put the Dukes up 50-35 five minutes into the second half.

Andre Harris with a steal and coast-to-coast layup to give the Dukes a 60-43 lead.
UNCG briefly cut it to 10 before Weathers and Hughes responded with back-to-back buckets.
DU, which was the aggressor throughout the game, outscored UNCG 25-3 from the foul line, with Carry leading the way at 8-of-11.
Duquesne concludes its three-games-in-five-day trip to Louisville with an 11:00 a.m. game vs. Winthrop on Friday (ESPN3) at KFC Yum! Center.

- This was Dunn-Martin's eighth career 20-point game. His his four steals tied his career high set last year vs. Dayton.
- Michael Hughes (14-10) recorded his eighth career double-double. It was Hughes' ninth career double-digit rebound game.
- The Dukes finished with 10 steals and 13 turnovers. UNCG was credited with five steals and turned it over 19 times.
- DU outscored UNCG 14-4 in second chance points and 13-7 in fast break points.
- Duquesne's largest lead was 17, which it reached twice - at 60-43 with 10:49 left and at 81-64 with 1:02 left ... there was one tie before DU took the lead for good on a Michael Hughes layup with 5:06 left in the first half ... Duquesne led for 39:35 ... the game was tied for :25.
