PITTSBURGH – Five former Duquesne women's basketball players have begun their professional seasons for their respective clubs. Nina Aho, Paige Cannon, Jose-Ann Johnson, Eniko Kuttor and Kadri-Ann Lass have contributed to each of their overseas teams. Aho, Kuttor and Lass play in the Hungary-A Division, while Cannon (Portugal-Liga Feminina) and Johnson (France-LF2) round out the professional Dukes

A pair of Duquesne alumnae faced off against each other on Oct. 7, when Nina Aho's Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc squad defeated Eniko Kuttor's Cegledi EKK's team, 71-69. Looking ahead in the Hungarian league schedules, Lass (Uni Gyor) will face off against Aho on Dec. 12 and against Kuttor on Dec. 23. 

Nina Aho (Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc / Hungary-A Division)

Aho has helped DVTK Miskolc to a 3-2 record early in Hungary's A-Division. The 2019-20 Atlantic 10 All-Defensive team selection is averaging 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists during her first few games as a professional. When facing Eniko Kuttor's Cegledi EKK's squad, Aho started and dropped in three points and grabbed a pair of rebounds. DVTK Miskolc earned a close 71-69 victory.

Paige Cannon (CAB Madeira / Portugal-Liga Feminina)

Through five games, Cannon ranks third on CAB Madeira (3-2) in points (10.4 ppg), while ranking second in both rebounding (7.2 rpg) assists (2.8 apg). In her professional debut against Uniao Sportiva, she dropped 18 points, six rebounds and five assists, while converting 5-of-6 attempts from 3-point land.

Jose-Ann Johnson (SIG Strasbourg / France-LF2)

Johnson is averaging 4.3 points and 5.0 rebounds through four games of the France-LF2 schedule. SIG Strasbourg is 2-1 during the early portion of the schedule. In her latest game, Johnson posted a team-best eight rebounds off the bench in a 64-59 victory over Reims.

Eniko Kuttor (Cegledi EKK / Hungary A-Division)

Kuttor has appeared in two of Cegledi EKK's (3-2) contests this season. In the season opener against ZTE NKK, Kuttor contributed two points and a rebound. She also brought down a pair of rebounds against Nina Aho's DVTK Miskolc squad.

Kadri-Ann Lass (UNI Győr /Hungary A-Division)

Lass has helped Uni Gyor to a 2-1 record during her first season playing in Hungary after playing her first season in Poland a year ago. Duquesne's all-time leading shot blocker is averaging 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. In her latest contest against Atomeromu, Lass cracked the starting lineup and supplied five points and three rebounds in 21 minutes of action.
