PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne women's bowling team will begin its fourth season on Oct. 12 at the Bud Whitman Memorial in Reading, Pa. as part of the 2019-20 schedule released by head coach
Jody Fetterhoff today.
The Dukes are set to play in 10 regular-season tournaments, including three Northeast Conference matches.
Duquesne, which has been ranked in each of the past 10 National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 Polls, capped last season with a fifth place finish at the Intercollegiate Team Championshps.
The Dukes return all but one bowler from last year's 60-45 team.
Following the Bud Whitman, the Dukes will head to Frederick, Md. for the Mount Shootout Oct. 19-20.
DU will then make its longest trip - to Houston, Texas - for the Track Kat Klash (Nov. 1-3), before returning to Pennsylvania for NEC Meet #1 on Nov. 9-10 in Mechanicsburg. The Dukes final November match is Nov. 22-24 in the Hawk Classic Invitational in Millsboro, Del.
The second NEC Meet (Dec. 6-8) is DU's lone December event.
January includes a trip to Limerick, Pa. for the Northeast Classic (Jan. 17-19) followed by the American Heartland Conference IV & V at Pittsburgh's AMF Noble Manor.
The Dukes conclude the regular season with a pair of February events: the James Brown Invitational in Towson, Md. (Feb. 14-16) and NEC Meet #3 in Stratford, N.J. (Feb. 22-23).
Duquesne will participate in Intercollegiate Singles Championships & Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectionals in mid-March.
The NEC Championship will take place on Mar. 20-22 at a to be determined site. The conference champion advances to NCAA Regional play April 3-5.
The 2019-20 NCAA Championship scheduled for Apr. 8-11 in Allen Park, Mich.
ISC & ITC champions will be crowned between April 13-18 in Wyoming, Mich.
