NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On Thursday, the Atlantic 10 announced the 2019-20 women's basketball conference schedule. The Dukes are scheduled to appear twice on CBS Sports Network during the conference slate.
Due to the renovation of the on-campus UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, venues and game times for Duquesne's eight Atlantic 10 conference home games will be released as soon as available.
As previously announced, the schedule features matchups with all 14 Atlantic 10 foes, with the addition of home-and-home meetings against George Washington, St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's.
The Dukes open A-10 play at home against Massachusetts on Jan. 4. After a trip to George Washington on Jan. 8., the Dukes will return home to face La Salle on Jan. 11.
Up next for the Dukes is a two-game road stretch against Dayton (Jan. 15) and Saint Joseph's (Jan. 18). The meeting with the Hawks in Philadelphia will be broadcasted nationally on CBS Sports Network. Duquesne will then return home to host George Mason on Jan. 22.
After trekking to Saint Louis (Jan. 26.), the Dukes will welcome St. Bonaventure in the first of two meetings with the Bonnies.
The Dukes open February in Virginia, facing VCU on Feb. 2. The meeting marks the second-time the Dukes will play on CBS Sports Network. After a bye, the Dukes host Saint Joseph's on Feb. 9 in the second meeting with the Hawks.
Duquesne hits the road for a pair of contests at Richmond (Feb. 12) and Davidson (Feb. 16), before a season-long three-game home stand against Rhode Island (Feb. 19), George Washington (Feb. 22) and Fordham. (Feb. 25).
The Dukes close out the regular season on the road at Saint Bonaventure on Feb. 29.
The 2020 A-10 Championship will be hosted by the University of Dayton March 6-8, 2020, with the first round being held on Tuesday, March 3 at on-campus sites. The first-round games as well the championship quarterfinals will be available live on
ESPN+, the leading direct-to-consumer sports streaming service, while the semifinals games will air on CBS Sports Network. ESPNU will air the A-10 championship final, the 23rd straight year an ESPN network has televised the league's title game.
The 2019-20 season marks the seventh year of the long-term television agreement between the A-10 and ESPN, CBS Sports Network and NBCSN. Atlantic 10 institutions reside in states that comprise 33.3 million television households, approximately 30 percent of the total national media market. There are nine A-10 institutions in or adjacent to the top 25 media markets in the country.
All games not picked up on linear television will be streamed through the Atlantic 10's partnership with ESPN+.
