PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University Department of Athletics has announced a partnership with
Profile, an innovative company specializing in the use of behavioral assessment to drive organizational success.
Profile, whose clients include corporate leaders, National Football League teams and selected NCAA athletics departments, will work directly with both Duquesne coaches and student-athletes.
"Our focus at Duquesne is to use proven techniques to enhance leadership, communication and self-awareness between coaches and players," said Profile CEO Chad Q. Brown, a leader in the athletic and corporate arenas for over twenty years. "We take the same behavioral assessments we use with highly-successful Fortune 500 companies and apply them to athletics."
"The focus of our work with Profile will be getting better 'at people,'" said Duquesne Director of Athletics
Dave Harper. "We have talked at length about building our recruiting prowess, team competitive identities, performance cultures, and winning behaviors. Profile is a unique tool that will significantly enhance our ability to improve as administrators, coaches, and staff. Also, we will work intensively to help student-athletes better understand their values and motivators to enhance academic and athletic performances, as well as the critical role they play in building successful teams."
"This is the first time we have five generations in the workplace," said Brown. "With that are unique challenges in how those groups communicate, mainly how those groups treat others or want to be treated. Our goal is to use available tools to bridge that gap and purposefully build cohesion, effectiveness and create a unified drive toward excellence."
