PITTSBURGH - Duquesne dropped its second one-goal decision in a row on Sunday afternoon as visiting George Mason edged the Dukes 14-13 at Arthur J. Rooney Field. DU moves to 6-6 on the year and 1-5 in A-10 play while the Patriots boost their records to 9-5 and 5-1, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • George Mason took a 3-1 lead before the Dukes answered with seven straight goals, three coming from Rilee Bradshaw to give Duquesne an 8-3 advantage.
  • The Patriots responded with four consecutive goals to shrink the Dukes' lead to 8-7 under a minute into the second half.
  • George Mason extended its run to 9-2 when Deanna Balsama found the back of the net with 13:59 showing on the second half clock, putting the Patriots on top 12-10.
  • Bradshaw and Michaela Connolly each scored to knot the game at 12-12 at the 9:58 mark.
  • The Patriots countered with two goals of their own to regain the two-goal edge at 14-12 with 7:20 to play in the frame.
  • Bradshaw netted her fifth goal of the day off the assist by Connolly with just seven seconds to play, but that is as close as the Dukes would come as George Mason secured the ensuing draw.
