Dayton (9-7, 4-2) got a goal (18') and assist (60') from Jonas Fjeldberg to move its home record to 7-1 with a 2-0 win over Duquesne (8-6-1, 3-3) at UD's Baujan Field. Zach Hall led the Dukes with four shots, including two on goal. Robbie McKelvey finished with a season high-tying eight saves for DU. Duquesne completes the home portion of the 2019 schedule with a Senior Day match-up against Saint Louis Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (ESPN+). Final year players Hall, McKelvey, Scott Rissler and Owen Rossi will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.

  • Dayton outshot Duquesne 15-2 in a first half that ended with the Flyers up 1-0.
  • Kingsford Adjei took a through ball from Fjeldberg to make it 2-0 in the 60th minute.
  • Duquesne, which was outshot 21-9, rallied to post seven shots - to six for Dayton - in the second half.
  • There were just three corners in the game (two by Dayton).
DUQUESNE HEAD COACH CHASE BROOKS
"Tonight wasn't about Dayton beating us, it was about Duquesne losing the game. We have to be better, and tonight we just weren't good enough. We have to be better, particularly in the attacking half of the field. That's on us to put the work in, to reflect, to move forward and get the job done."
