Duquesne (7-3-1, 2-1), which has been idle since last Saturday's 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure, looks to keep its undefeated home record intact when it hosts George Washington (3-7-1, 1-2) Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. (ESPN+). DU, which tied Bowling Green at home in its season opener, has gone on to post five consecutive wins on Rooney Field. The Dukes have not trailed in a home game since the 54th minute vs. BGSU.
THE SERIES VS. GEORGE WASHINGTON
- Duquesne leads the overall series 10-9-1, including a 6-2 advantage in matches in Pittsburgh.
- The Dukes have won the past six between the two on Rooney Field.
- GW's last win in Pittsburgh was on Oct. 18, 1998 (1-0 in OT).
- George Washington won the last meeting by a 1-0 score in Washington D.C. on Oct. 21, 2017.
- This is just the fourth meeting between the two in the past eight years.
- GW is coming off a 1-0 victory at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday.

- Duquesne is ranked No. 8 in the Southeast Region of the Oct. 8 United Soccer Coaches Poll. This is the third time DU has appeared in the poll this season (No. 10 on Sept. 17 & No. 7 on Sept. 24).
- The Dukes are 5-0-1 at home with three home matches remaining (including GW). DU has gone undefeated at home three times in its 24 previous seasons (7-0-2 in 2002, 5-0 in 2006 & 7-0-2 in 2011).

- Duquesne is coming off a 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure last weekend. It was the first game DU was involved in this season in which a team scored more than twice. Dragisich, Busquets and freshman Carter Breen added assists.
- The four goals were DU's most in a conference game since a 4-0 win over George Washington on Oct. 26, 2014.
- Duquesne won a school record six in a row prior to falling at Saint Francis (2-1) on Sept. 24. The six-game streak broke the school record of five set in 2005 and matched in 2006.
- Sophomore forward Manel Busquets leads the Dukes with six goals and 15 points. The six goals are the most by a Duke since Colin Phillips netted 13 in 2015.
- Busquets leads the A-10 at 1.5 points per game.
- Zach Hall and Jack Shearer have four goals each. Shearer is coming off a brace vs. St. Bonaventure.
- Freshman Nate Dragisich, a two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week (Sept. 16 & Oct. 7, leads the team with five assists. He is tied with Busquets for the team lead with two game-winning goals. His 26 shots are second to Busquets' 30.
- Senior goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey, the two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 3 & 23), has 51 saves in 11 games with a 0.89 goals against average. He has four shutouts in 11 starts (vs. Oakland, vs. VMI, at Robert Morris & vs. St. Bonaventure) and has yet to give up more than two scores in a game this season. He began the week tied for seventh nationally in total saves.
- Duquesne has surrendered just 10 goals on 173 shots (63 on goal) through 11 matches.
- Nine of DU's 11 matches have been decided by one or fewer goals. The exceptions are a 2-0 win at Robert Morris on Sept. 18 and a 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Oct. 5.
- DU's 18 goals this season have come from six players. Sophomore Manel Busquets (6), senior Zach Hall (4) and first-year St. John's transfer Jack Shearer (4) & freshman Nate Dragisich (2) have all scored multiple goals this season.
- Busquets leads the Dukes with 30 shots and 13 shots on goal. Shearer (12), Hall and Dragisich (10 each) also have double-digit shots on goal.
- Duquesne is in its seventh season under head coach Chase Brooks. Brooks has led the Dukes to three Atlantic 10 Conference tournament appearances (2013, 2015 & 2016).
- The Dukes return eight field players who started 10 or more games last season, including six sophomores: D Moritz Kappelsberger, D/M Nathan Dossantos, D/M Rob Dymond, F Manel Busquets, D Eric Zech and D Kendall Newman. Newman missed the first five matches of the season due to injury.
- DU has just seven upperclassmen on the roster (seniors Zach Hall, Robbie McKelvey, Owen Rossi, Scott Rissler and injured defender Ryan Landry and juniors Waleed Cherif and Jack Shearer.
- Hall leads all returnees in career games (61) and starts (57). Ryan Landry, who is out for the season (foot injury) was next at 45 and 39. No other returning field player entered the season with more than 16 games played (Dossantos, Kappelsberger & Zech at 16 each).
- The Dukes have 11 first-year players on the 2019 roster including nine freshmen (including one redshirt) and a pair of transfers in junior F Jack Shearer (St. John's) and junior F Waleed Charif (West Liberty). Shearer, a native of Aliquippa, Pa., played in 35 matches with 26 starts in two seasons at SJU.
