The Duquesne volleyball team fell to Lehigh 3-1 in the 2018 season opener in Bethlehem, Pa. The Dukes were led by Kori Johnson's 11 kills, Dani Suiter's 35 assists and Camryn Vecera's 20 digs.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After being down by four points in the first set, the Dukes won five of six points to tie the contest at 15-15 – but the Mountain Hawks would win nine of the last 11 to take the set 25-18
• After a 2-2 tie in the second set, Lehigh went ahead and stayed ahead to win the set 25-16
• The Dukes won the final seven points of the third set, to take a 25-17 victory – DUQ hit .379 with 14 kills
• Although Duquesne lead 23-21 in the fourth set, Lehigh won the next four points to take the set 25-23 and match 3-1
• In addition to her 11 kills, Johnson hit .400
• Ego Ono added eight kills and hit .316
• Maddie Bazelak also recorded eight kills
• Erin Cunningham had 12 digs
