@DuqWSoccer Opens Home Slate Friday Against Jacksonville

Dukes and Dolphins to kickoff at 7PM

The Duquesne women's soccer team will open the 2018 home season on Friday against Jacksonville. The Dukes (0-2-0) are coming off a pair of matches against Power 5 schools Arkansas and #4 Penn State last weekend.

THE SERIES
The Dukes lead the all-time series 1-0-1. The first match was the 2005 season opener, which was part of the Marshall Tournament, a 5-2 DUQ victory. The teams met again, this time in Jacksonville, in the 2008 opener. In what looked like a 2-1 JU victory in the 119th minute, it was realized that the overtime minutes were erroneously set at 15 minutes, as opposed to 10. The NCAA ruled the match a draw any statistical information recorded after the 110th minute declared is invalid.

MATCH TO BE STREAMED ON ESPN
Friday's match will be the first-ever home even streamed on ESPN , which replaces the A-10 Digital Network. ESPN is available for $4.99 per month. Yearly subscriptions may be purchased for $49.99. In addition to Atlantic 10 content, subscribers will have access to the full gamut of ESPN programming. For more information on acquiring an ESPN subscription, click here.
