Duquesne men's soccer (0-0-0) opens its 24th season at Marshall's (0-0-0) Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes are 12-9-2 all-time in season openers, including a 2-5-2 mark when opening on the road. DU is 3-1-1 in opening games under sixth-year head coach
Chase Brooks (1-1-1 on the road), including a 0-0 tie at Marshall on Aug. 29, 2014 (Brooks' second season). DU follows the Marshall game with five in a row at home.
THE SERIES
- The is the sixth game in the series which is tied at 2-2-1. It is the fourth meeting in the past five seasons between the Dukes and Thundering Herd.
- In the only other meeting in Huntington, W.Va., DU and MU tied 0-0 (2OT) on Aug. 29, 2014.
- Marshall has won the past two, 1-0 on Sept. 4, 2015 and 3-1 on Aug. 31, 2017. Both games were on Rooney Field.

- Overall, DU has 10 international players, including returners seniors Noah Mehta (Canada) and Olav Hovstad (Norway).
