PITTSBURGH - Eight postseason teams, including four that participated in the NCAA tournament, highlight Duquesne's 2018-19 nonconference opponents.
The Dukes will play five home games. Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 12), UCF (Dec. 12) and ETSUÂ (Dec. 16) will visit the Palumbo Center. The annual City Game (Dec. 29) and former Atlantic 10 Conference rival Temple (Jan. 2) will also play on the Bluff.
On the road, Duquesne will make its first-ever trips to TCU (Nov. 6) and Texas (Nov. 8). They will also travel to Toledo (Nov. 18), Saint Francis U (Nov. 25), Kent State (Nov. 28) and Penn State (Dec. 5).
Just before Christmas, the Dukes will travel to St. Petersburg, Fla. for the St. Pete Shootout. They will play Syracuse and Liberty in the two day event at Eckerd College on Dec. 21 and Dec. 22.
"The upcoming 2018-19 nonconference schedule will be a great challenge to our team," said head coach
Dan Burt. "With eight of our 13 opponents - including four NCAA tournament teams - playing in the postseason last year, we are confident that this schedule will prepare us for the Atlantic 10 Conference. In addition, this slate of games has been built for us to be an NCAA tournament team."
