April 5, 2018 Former Duquesne forward Stasia King finished her first year as assistant coach of her Alma mater Harrisburg High School.
In the 2017-2018 season, King helped the Lady Cougars to a 28-4 record. HHS was the Mid Penn Commonwealth champion, going 12-2 and won the District 3 Class 5A tournament.
Harrisburg advanced to the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 5A tournament before falling to Southern Lehigh.
The 2015 graduate led Dukes to a Round 3 berth in the WNIT her senior season. She shot 49 percent for her career. She also excelled off the court as a member of the Black Student Union, the Duquesne chapter of the NAACP and was an academic tutor for the Schenley Heights Community Development Program.
