The Duquesne bowling team will be making its first appearance at the Northeast Conference Championship at Howell Lanes in Howell, N.J. this weekend.
The NEC winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
THE FIELD
Six schools will compete in a double-elimination format bracket to decide the 2018 champion. Top-seeded Sacred Heart and No. 2 LIU Brooklyn earned the tournament top two seeds and will not play in the qualifying rounds. Duquesne, the No. 5 seed, opens against No. 4 Saint Francis U at 10:25 a.m. on Friday. Fairleigh Dickinson, ranked 10th in the latest NTCA Coaches Poll, is the defending champion. The Knights are seeded third.
