PITTSBURGH - Fordham defeated Duquesne 51-43 on Wednesday night at the Palumbo Center.

Chassidy Omogrosso led Duquesne (22-6, 12-3 A-10) with 19 points. Kadri-Ann Lass added 11 and Libby Bazelak grabbed a career-high eight rebounds for the Dukes.

G'Mrice Davis scored a game-highs with 20 points and 19 rebounds for Fordham (21-7, 12-3 A-10). Lauren Holden added 15 for the Rams.

The game started out slow, with only six total field goals as the contest was tied at 7-7 in the first five minutes of play. A Lass 3-pointer was the would be the only basket the Dukes would get the rest of the way as Fordham - behind 10 points from Davis -took a 16-11 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

Fordham build an eight point lead after a Davis layup at 8:36. Duquesne cut it to two points on Julijana Vojinovic's 3-pointer at 1:12 before a Zara Jillings layup made the score 28-24 heading into halftime.

Duquesne was able to keep it at a two-possession game for the majority of the 3rd quarter, but couldn't get over the hump, down 38-36 heading into the final 10 minutes.

A 3-pointer by Omogrosso made the score 40-39 early in the 4th quarter, but that is as close as the Dukes would get. They had four chances to tie or go ahead, but could not connect.
