ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Liberty scored the final nine points of the game, holding Duquesne scoreless for the final 8:09 in their 55-51 victory on Saturday night in the second night of the St. Pete Shootout.
Kadri-Ann Lass scored a game and season-high 21 points for the Dukes (5-6).
Emily Lytle led the Flames (3-9) with 14 points.
Liberty led by seven points midway through the 1
st quarter and held the lead until 2:35 of the 2nd quarter on Lass' jumper. The Dukes would take a one point lead into halftime 25-24.
The lead would change hands four times in the 3
rd quarter as Duquesne would lead for the 3:03 taking a 47-42 lead into the 4
th quarter.
Lass' jumper at 8:09 made the score 51-46, but was the final basket for the Dukes as they missed their final 10 shots of the game.

- The Dukes were outscored 13-4 in the 4th quarter
- Duquesne finished 2-23 from the 3-point line
- After committing 25 turnovers against Syracuse, the Dukes cut the number to 10 tonight
