Twentieth ranked Duquesne finished ninth in a strong field of 17 at the Hawk Classic Invitational at Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Del. The Dukes finished 7-6 with wins over five ranked programs over the weekend.

In all, 14 of the 17 programs that competed entered the Invitational with a national ranking. The Dukes went 3-2 in baker matches with a 1003 team total in a win over No. 8 Delaware State and a 1065 total in a victory over No. 7 Maryland Eastern Shore.

Sophomore Olivia Farwell averaged a team-best 211.8 - good for tied for sixth overall - in traditional play. Farwell posted a team weekend high game of 253 vs. LIU Brooklyn. Cassidy Powers finished 43rd with a 185.4 average in five games.

In the championship round, the ninth-seeded Dukes fell to 11th ranked North Carolina A&T before rallying to defeat 8th ranked Delaware State (4-2) and 23rd ranked Monmouth (4-2). Duquesne fell behind 0-2 in both matches before bouncing back to close out both with four straight wins.
