Duquesne University women's basketball will host its Education Day on Wednesday, Feb. 13, when the Dukes host Saint Louis at the A.J. Palumbo Center in an Atlantic 10 Conference game that begins at 11:00 a.m.
Education Day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. All participating students and teachers will receive free admission and will be allowed to bring a sack lunch into the arena. Concession deals will also be available at the concession stands for the duration of the game.
Education Day is a field trip that gives local elementary and middle-school students an opportunity to participate in fun, educational activities while attending a live NCAA Division I, women's basketball game. The educational emphasis will be on nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Â Each student will receive a drawstring bag with a packet of grade-appropriate activities to complete prior to and during the game!
The 2018-19 Duquesne women's basketball team features five student-athletes who played in the local area:
Amanda Kalin (Pine-Richland),
Chassidy Omogrosso (Blackhawk),
Conor Richardson (Carlynton), and
Kiersten and
Caroline Ellliott (Vincentian).
