PITTSBURGH - Linnea Faccenda's goal in the 93rd minute lifted the Duquesne women's soccer team to a 1-0 overtime victory over VCU on Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Faccenda nearly got on the board in the 11th minute, however VCU goalie Audrey Sanderson made a diving save
- VCU posted four shots in the 52nd minute, with Kyra Murphy recording a pair of saves
- Faccenda's attempt in the 90th minute went wide of the goal, sending the game into overtime
- Katie O'Connor fed the ball to Lauren Bell who found Faccenda in the 93rd minute for the game-winner
