QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne volleyball team improved their record to 10-6, 1-1 with a 3-1 victory at Fordham Sunday afternoon.

Molly Davet led all players with a career-high 23 kills and 18 digs, recording a .455 hitting- percentage. Maddie Bazelak and Madelynn Burnham combined for 20 kills and Dani Suiter had a match-best 49 assists.

Fordham's Olivia Fairchild and Kaitlin Moreley accounted for 23 kills for the Rams, and Morgan Williams added 17 digs.

Duquesne trailed in the first set until Davet's kill lifted the Dukes to a 16-15 advantage. There would be eight more ties until another kill by Davet brought the Dukes to a 25-23 win.

Although Duquesne gained an early lead in the second set, Fordham would come out on top with a score of 25-22.The Dukes would go on to take the next two sets (25-14, 25-20) with Maddie Bazelak recording the final kill of the fourth set to bring the Dukes to their first A-10 win of the season.

UP NEXT: The Dukes return home to host Robert Morris on Tuesday at 7 p.m. After Tuesday, Duquesne will remain home for their next two matches against VCU Friday at 7 p.m. and Davidson Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
