QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne volleyball team fell to Rhode Island 3-1 in their first A-10 match of the season Friday night. Maddie Bazelak and Madelynn Burnham led the Dukes with nine combined kills. However, Rhode Island's Layne Self and Audrey Castro recorded 11 kills each to lift the Rams to a 3-0 shutout victory.

The Dukes are now 9-6, 0-1 for the season.
