PITTSBURGH - Jabari Hinds scored 37 points and Donte Clark scored nine of his 17 in overtime to lead UMass to a 108-99 win over Duquesne at Palumbo Center.

Trey Davis added 26 for the Minutemen (11-13, 4-8) who rallied from a 10-point deficit with just over 11 minutes left.

Micah Mason led Duquesne (15-10, 5-7) with a career-high 29 points and 10 assists. L.G. Gill added 20 for the Dukes who dropped their third in a row.

"That was a hard one to swallow," said Duquesne head coach Jim Ferry. "As the home team, you've got to finish that game. I thought we had some poor decisions down the stretch and Jabari Hinds really killed us. They made the plays down the stretch to win the game, and we didn't."

DU took a 63-53 lead on a Gill layup with 10:52 left, only to see the Minutemen erase the lead in just over two minutes as Hinds and Davis scored five each.

The Dukes led by six with 2:32 to go, before Hinds and Davis buried back-to-back 3-pointers in a 30-second span to tie it again.

Clark tied it one final time with a pair of free throws with 41 seconds left to force the overtime.

Clark opened the overtime with a 3-pointer and followed with a jumper to make it a five point game.

Duquesne never got closer than three as UMass hit 16-of-20 free throws in the extra period.

Hinds, whose point total tied the third-most in Palumbo Center history, scored 29 in the second half and overtime. He finished 7-of-8 from the 3-point arc.

The Minutemen missed 18 of their first 19 shots - including 14 in a row at one point - as Duquesne jumped out to a 15-3 lead.

UMass got hot in a hurry, outscoring the Dukes 18-3 over the next 3:11 to take a 21-18 lead.

The Minutemen led 24-20 before Mason began a 20-4 Duquesne run with a free throw following a technical foul - one of four called on UMass.

Josh Steel, who came off the bench to score all of his career-high 11 in the first half, hit one of his three first half 3-pointers to give the Dukes a 27-24 lead. Steel, whose career high entering the game was eight, scored eight in a row to make it 32-24.

The Dukes built the lead to 13 before Davis hit a 3-pointer to make it 43-33 at the half.

Duquesne's season-high 20 turnovers led to 18 UMass points. The Minutemen finished 14-of-31 from 3-point with Hinds and Davis combining for 12 of the makes. Duquesne ended up 12-of-31 from the arc with Mason, Gill and Steel finishing with three 3-pointers each.

Duquesne hosts George Washington (18-7, 7-5) on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m. (Atlantic 10 Digital Network - free HD stream).
