PITTSBURGH - Julijana Vojinovic scored a career-high 19 points,
Brianna Thomas added a career-high 10 points and
Amadea Szamosi recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds as Duquesne won its third straight City Game 63-54 on Thursday afternoon at the Palumbo Center.
Chassidy Omogrosso added 13 points for the Dukes who finish up non-conference play 7-7.
Brandi Harvey-Carr had a team-high 14 points for Pitt (9-4).
FIRST QUARTER
The Dukes hit their first four attempts from beyond-the-arc to build an 11-point lead at 16-5 midway through the quarter. Vojinovic made a pair of 3's and finished the quarter with eight points as the Dukes took a 17-12 advantage into the 2nd quarter.
SECOND QUARTER
Pitt had their first lead of the game at 20-19 after a 15-3 run that ended with a Jasmine Whitney layup at 6:30. Vojinovic answered with back-to-back jumpers which started an 11-2 run to end the half with the Dukes leading 30-22. Duquesne held the Panthers scoreless for the final 4:37 of the period.
THIRD QUARTER
Duquesne regained a double-digit lead after Thomas' 3-pointer made the score 35-23 at the 7:28 mark. The Dukes' lead would get as high as 14 points at 5:14 on Omogrosso's jumper, but Pitt would end on a 15-6 run to cut the deficit to 48-43 at the end of the quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
After a pair of Brenna Wise free throws made it a one-possession game at 48-45, the Dukes went on an 11-2 run over the next 2:19 started by back-to-back 3-pointers from Vojinovic and Omogrosso to extend the lead to 59-47 at 6:43.

Duquesne jumps back into Atlantic 10 Conference play when they host George Washington (8-5, 1-0 A-10) on New Year's Day. Tipoff is at 1:00 P.M. and the game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
