QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne volleyball team fell to #24 Dayton 3-1 Friday night at the Palumbo Center. Madelynn Burnham led Duquesne with 14 kills, and Molly Davet added a double-double of 12 kills and 16 digs.
SET 1: After 11 ties and five lead changes, back to back kills from Bazelak and Burnham lifted the Dukes to a 30-28 set victory. Burnham finished the set with six kills and Kline added 14 digs.
SET 2: A 6-0 Dayton run broke a 10-10 tie, and the Flyers never looked back, taking a 25-18 set win. Dayton's defense had eight blocks in the set.
SET 3: After an early Duquesne error, the Flyers would hold the lead for the remainder of the set, winning 25-11.
SET 4: Dayton's Jamie Peterson and Amber Erhahon combined for 9 kills as the Flyers took the fourth set 25-19.
UP NEXT: The Dukes host Saint Louis (12-13, 7-3) Sunday at 1 p.m. and will close out the regular season at home against La Salle on 11/12 for senior day.
