THE LAST MEETING
The Duquesne women's basketball team advanced to the 3rd Round of the 2015 WNIT after a dramatic 48-47 victory over Richmond at the Palumbo Center on March 24, 2015.

With the Dukes down 47-46 with 25.2 seconds remaining, Deva'Nyar Workman made a pair of free throws. After the teams exchanged possessions, Richmond had the ball and had to go the length of the court with 5.8 seconds remaining. UR's Micaela Parson took the ball coast-to-coast, but Duquesne's Amadea Szamosi took a charge 0:00.7 left to preserve the 48-47 victory.

Mar. 7, 2008 - Kristi Little's 3-pointer with two seconds remaining was off as Richmond held off a late run for a 58-56 win in the 1st Round of the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on the campus of Saint Joseph's University.

Feb. 1, 2009 - Richmond's Nikita Thomas hit a layup with 25 remaining to send the game into overtime tied at 53-53. Duquesne only allowed one Richmond field goal in the extra period as the Dukes won 59-55 at the Palumbo Center.

Feb. 10, 2013 - Richmond's Kristina King hit a 3-pointer to get the Spiders within five points with 1:08 remaining, but that would be last field goal for UR in Duquesne's 59-54 win at the Palumbo Center.

Feb. 18, 2015 - Amadea Szamosi's layup with 1.5 seconds left sent the game into overtime and the Duquesne defense did not surrender a single point in the extra period in their 58-51 victory.

Mar. 24, 2015 - Amadea Szamosi's free throws with 0.7 second remaining in the game lifted the Dukes to a 48-47 win over Richmond in the 2nd Round of the WNIT.

SIX DEGREES OF Dan Burt
Duquesne head coach Dan Burt can be connected to Richmond head coach Michael Shafer based on the "six degrees of separation".

Burt was an assistant coach with Suzie McConnell-Serio for six years at Duquesne. As a player at Penn State, Serio played under assistant coach Dan Durkin. Chris Day was an assistant coach at Duquesne under Durkin. Day was the associate head coach at Indiana under Curt Miller. While head coach at Bowling Green, Miller coached Kate Achter, was the associate head coach at St. Bonaventure. Jesse Fleming, who was on staff at St. Bonaventure with Achter, was a former assistant coach with Cori Chambers at Stony Brook. Chambers is an assistant under current Richmond head coach Michael Shafer.
