QUICK RECAP: Mario Mastrangelo scored in the 64th minute to give Saint Francis U a 1-0 win over Duquesne at Stokes Soccerplex. The win kept the Red Flash unbeaten at home (4-0-1) while moving their overall record to 5-2-3. The defeat dropped the Dukes to 2-5-1. Mastrangelo took a long pass from Francis de Vries just inside the box and tapped it with his right foot past a hard-charging Evan Kozlowski for his third goal of the season. Saint Francis, which has yet to give up a goal at home this year, outshot Duquesne 16-11, including a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal. Kozlowski, who started DU's 3-1 season-opening win at Niagara, stopped five shots in his second start of the season. Chris Alescio and Fredrik Borenstein recorded Duquesne's two shots on goal. Andrew Garcia was credited with the shutout for the Red Flash. The Dukes had some scoring chances late with a Matthew Rochowski shot sailing wide right with under three minutes left. DU's Colin Phillips had a direct kick from just outside of the box with 17 seconds left, but the ball glanced off the outside of the SFU wall and over the end line. Borenstein sent the ensuing corner kick into the box, but the ball was cleared with Kozlowski - who left the net to join the attack - shooting high as the final horn sounded.

NEXT UP: The Dukes open Atlantic 10 play at home against Dayton on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
