This is the fourth profile in the series of the eight new Duquesne women's basketball players that will be joining the roster for the 2015-16 season. Today, Chassidy Omogrosso will be profiled.

Omogrosso, a 5-6 guard from Beaver Falls, Pa. who was the 2014 and 2015 AP Pennsylvania AAA Player of the Year, led Blackhawk to back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles her junior and senior years. In those two seasons, the Cougars had a 56-4 record.

In the 2014 state championship game against Archbishop Wood, she scored a game-high 26 points and finished her junior season averaging 21.6 points per game. This past season, the two teams met again in the state finals. Once again, Omogrosso led Blackhawk to victory, scoring a game-high 23 points. She averaged 27.1 points per game her senior season.

Omogrosso has been named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Fabulous Five and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Terrific Ten her sophomore, junior and seasons. Additionally, she has been the Beaver County Times Player of the Year and Athlete of the Year as well as a finalist for the 2014 and 2015 Miss PA Basketball Award.

A teammate of Duquesne incoming freshman Conor Richardson on the Western PA Bruins, Omogrosso was also an USJN/Nike U17 National Championship All-Star. Omogrosso is ranked the 33rd best point guard in the high school class of 2015 by Olson of ESPN HoopGurlz. The Carolina Scouting Report Top 100 has Omogrosso ranked as the 31st best overall player. Playing with her high school team at the prestigious Best of Maryland Invite Tournament, Omogrosso scored an event record 43 points. This past April, Omogrosso scored 21 points in the Roundball Classic.

Omogrosso finished her career with 2,686 points, which was sixth among the WPIAL's all-time scoring leaders. She scored more career points than former McKeesport, UConn and current WNBA player Swin Cash.
