Agunbiade plays for CSU Alba Iulia in Romania

Former Duquesne women's basketball forward Wumi Agunbiade finished up her first season overseas last month. Agunbiade, who finished her career as Duquesne's second all-time leading scorer with 1,776 points, plays for CSU Alba Iulia in the Romanian Liga Națională League. The team is based in Alba Iulia, which is located on the Mureş River in the Transylvania region of Romania.

Agunbiade led Alba Iulia to a 20-6 regular season record (22-10 overall) and a fourth place finish in the 14-team league, including a berth in the finals of the Romanian Cup. She was second on team with 15.3 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor.

She recorded 10 total double-doubles, including a career-high 33 points and tied a career-high with 14 rebounds in 83-61 win over CS Nova Vita on November 19, 2014.

Agunbiade is the only player in Duquesne history to score 1,700 points and record 900 rebounds. She led the Class of 2014 to 88 wins, which is tied for best all-time. She finished her career with 919 rebounds which is third-best all-time. She amassed 21 20+-points games, including a career-high 32 at North Dakota State during the 2011-12 season. She had 21 10+-rebound games, which included her career-high 16 at Ohio also during the 2011-12 season. Agunbiade recorded 25 career double-doubles. Of her 130 career games played, she started 128, both program records.
