QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne men's tennis team split a pair of matches in Dayton, Ohio. The Dukes defeated Saint Louis 6-1 before falling to Dayton 5-2.
Duquesne started out by winning the doubles point against SLU. Harry Walshe and Tim Kane won at #2 and Adam Blasinsky and Andrew Ong were winners at #3 - each by the score of 8-6.
The Dukes won five of the six singles matches over the Billikens. Rich Robbie (6-2, 7-6), Alex Aleman (6-4, 7-6) and Kane (6-4, 6-2) were straight set winners at #1, #2 and #6. Mehdi Mekaoui (3-6, 7-5, 7-5) and Walshe (5-7, 6-4, 7-6) won in three sets at #3 and #4.
Duquesne was down three starters against Dayton as Robbie and Alexman recorded the only points for the Dukes. Robbie was a 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 winner at #1 singles and Aleman 6-4, 6-2 at #2 singles.
