NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced that Duquesne forward Kadri-Ann Lass is the league's Rookie of the Week.

Lass scored a career-high 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting and added five rebounds (four offensive) in the Dukes' 73-65 victory over Lafayette on Friday night.

"We're very happy that Kadri has been recognized by the league office for her outstanding game against Lafayette," said head coach Dan Burt. "We believe her best basketball is still ahead of her and that this will be the first of many awards for her dedication and skill."

For the year, Lass has averaged 9.0 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. She has started all three of the Dukes games this season. She has made 46.4 percent of her shots from the field and has recorded a team-high six blocks.

The Dukes (2-1) play their home opener tomorrow night against Howard (0-4). Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m.
