QUICK RECAP: Duquesne got all its scoring from first-year players - including a tap in by sophomore defender Mamadou Traore in the 79th minute - to defeat Binghamton, 3-2, in the opening day of the Duquesne Invitational. It was the first career goal for Traore, who knocked in the game-winner following a scrum in front of the net. Duquesne trailed 2-1 before freshman Fredrik Borenstein tied the match on a rebound following a corner kick. It was the second goal in as many games for the freshman. Binghamton got on the board early, when Alex Varkatzas took a cross from Steve Celeste and scored in the game's fourth minute. DU's Nigel Seidu - another first-year player - answered when he gathered a pass from Nick DiSomma and beat BU's Robert Moewes for a goal. Binghamton upped its lead to 2-1 when Tommy Moon scored off a cross with under one minute left in the first half. The Dukes outshot the Bearcats 19-5 and held a 14-2 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Sam Frymier registered a pair of saves in posting his second win of the season. The win gave the Dukes a 3-0-1 lead in the all-time series.

EARLIER TODAY: Pat Flynn and Joe Sullivan scored two goals each as Bowling Green defeated Niagara 4-0. Nick Landsberger had four saves in posting the shutout for the Falcons.
